i recently got a letter in my pillar box asking me to attend a meeting at the k.h.
i ignored the " kind" request.. this was folloed up by a " loving" phone call with the question " do i believe in the organisation" my reply.
" anyway what pissed me off was during the " loving" phone call i realized there was another " brother" listning in.

" why do you ask?" anyway what pissed me off was during the " loving" phone call i realized there was another " brother" listning in. The 2 witness rule i guess...anyway i found the exsperience very " unloving".....and i told them so.
Any similar exsperiences?

in the last 4 months my eyes have been opened to ttatt, my biggest issue is that the elders have been grooming me to appoint me as an elder.
If you have acted the part of a good witness for 3 years, i think you will come up with something.
so, i eventually decided that this place wasn't the apostate hot bed i was led to believe ;-), (or maybe i am now an apostate!
but i don't feel like one.)..
i was brought up in "the truth".. i loved it.
I was never comfortable with members attitude to sexuality, dress, beards ect ect ...glad to be out.
i have looked at the thread about gay marriages in california and thought about asking this question there, but instead of hi-jacking that one i thought i would ask it here.
there seems to be quite a few gay people on this site and i wonder how many class themselves as christian?
if so, can being gay live in harmony with being a christian?.
It depends on the " Christian" .
I am sure there are many gay Christians that can. I am also sure there are many non- gay Christians that dont have a problem with gay Christians. But you will always have people that need to work on themselfs and there prejudices...

yesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.
we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.
they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.
Gee i am just returning to the forum after a few days away my last post on this topic was 57of 81... Tec has perished along with her fanatical beliefs in a better tomorrow, but has poster been sufficiently influenced by this debate to change there origional point of view?
this went bad, i hit click before i could post my thoughts about the fear factor going through our crazy kingdom hall.
the title of this thread was aimed at asking why the governing body is becoming so afraid and demanding the elders and rank and file to put their trust in the dukes of the kingdom hall.

I remember it because the P.O put his hand up during the study and said " ive never known the society to use that expression before"
